I am a PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, in the joint program in sociology and demography. My research examines different forms of categorization, through the lens of both embodiment and institutionalization. My dissertation is on detransitioning, or the process of pausing, stopping, or reversing a gender transition of some sort.
